Summer Notes

Wearing: American Apparel Dress, H&M cover-up, Sterling shoes, Vintage bag, Accesorize hat, Ray-Ban Sunglasses, Charles and Grace (c/o) hand chain

This summer has been one glitter sprinkled fun ride.
Why?
Because I finally got to spend my whole summer
in my fabulous city where the weather
for the most time treated me fantastically.

I've realized that I love and enjoy every second of every day
that I spend with my loved ones and dear friends in my adoptive home city.
This summer is all about having a wonderful time under the warm sun.

So it began with...
being crowned Sterling's pick, a Canadian local chain of shoes,
antique hunting , tea parties, juicy BBQs,
wine tours, beach living, summer sale dress shopping,
and a beautiful hand sculpted hand chain by Charles and Grace.

And now that August is at our doorstep
all I need is just a bit more luck for a sun kissed glow.

Glitter Kisses!

The Tea Party Recipe

The Recipe:

Take 4 wonderful friends who share you adoration for the tea party world,
throw on a vintage dress in a lovely print,
top that with a straw hat
and scout the city for a hidden tea house gem.
We found the lovely Infinity Tea nestled in a quiet green neighborhood of Bucharest.
Pick a sunny afternoon,
not too hot or too cold,
find the perfect table in a lush corner
where your laughter won't disturb the neighbors,
order both a fruity ice tea and a rose infused hot tea,
some fresh out-of the -oven brownies and cookies
and enjoy the girly chit-chat
and the flirty boy waiting on you.

When Glitter Went East

Wearing: H&M top, skirt from Tokyo,Japan, shoes from Osaka, Japan, Target cuff, Aldo belt, Pixie clutch
Photos by Sandra

It was a glitter sprinkled Romanian early summer break back in May.
It really was!
Back when the sun was as hot as a summer thrill
then followed by torrential pours of the heart,
I spent a wonderful time back east.
Among all the new people met, the shared giggles and laughter,
the constant picture taking, we made ever lasting friendships.

We bonded over:
-pretty clothes
-each other's wardrobe
-thirst quenching lemonades
-yummy frappes
-camera whoring
and the meaning of friendship.

And now that the hot sun has finally reached Vancouver,
I'm proud of my tres chic booking of a fairy-tale beach house in wine country.
Cause that's where we're heading next!

The Treasure Chest: British Invasion

Vintage postcards from The Jewel Tower

Now that I'm home and fully unpacked,
it's time to reminisce of those British memories through the invasion of the new goodies
that have made their away across the ocean.

Skull+ Cross Earrings from Topshop. Very British Rock and Roll!
My collection of teacups is expanding with a new beautiful teal royal edition.  Bought at Kensignton Palace
Snowflake princess dress from cute boutique on Portobello Road

Primark was a major shopping destination of my first day.
Through all the hustle and bustle of the over-packed store of crazy tourists, I managed to find these stunners:

The first few days of cold weather made it worthwhile to invest
in this beautiful Chanel-esque coat

As to Norwich, well the vintage shopping was in abundance.
Some of the items that made the final cut:

.... and many more waiting to be worn and shown!

Magic City: Norwich

Wearing: FreePeople Dress, Vintage slip, Zara belt, H&M hat, owl ring bought in Portobello

If you have ever been to a magical city,
then you will understand when I tell you that
my glitter heart was stolen by the historical small town of Norwich.

Fairy tale houses, ancient cathedrals, boutique cafes,
best vintage and antique shopping ( cheap and plentiful) ever encountered,
village strolls, sangria as good as in Spain,
white frocks, straw hats,
dinner on the canal and a wonderful day spent away.

At the end of the day, we had to say goobye to this heavenly place and all of our travel adentures,
hop on a train, then on a plane and carry all of treasure luggage home.
Back to where we came from.
Sad that the journey ends yet with summer at our doorstep,
more adventures are definitely in the works.
